Overdome
Hector the Sleep Paralysis Demon came to visit, so now there's poetry.

Look Knot
Don’t look at me.
I don’t know what you’ll see.
I fear what you might see.
And fear that you might tell me.
Please look at me.
I’m not sure I am here.
I need to know I’m here.
If you don’t prove
My existence
I fear I’ll disappear.
God, look at us.
Where have you gone?
We lost you ‘long the way.
You fell asleep
Or wandered off
And lost we’re bound to stay
Friend, look at God
He wasn’t good
He hides his face in shame
Mistakes were made
And words were said
Foundations cracked
Youth left for dead
Profane the holy name
Overdome
A sky of endless white
Color stripped
I float in clouds
Cold and wet and alone and
Cold and wet and alone and
Cold and wet and alone
A light
Far above
Diffuse
I long to rise to greet it
But have no wings to fly
Survive
Feel the fur
Smell the smoke
The pain it stains
Your every waking moment
Deep racking sobs
At memories of the hacking
At fears about the lacking
Of future hungry days
And nights of shiver-quiver
The bow is stretched and taut and greased
The arrow trembles for release
Its purpose hate
Or dinner

Imagine if you were to arise from ground and ascend indefinitely. At what point would you be "in" the sky? Are you already in the sky in some sense while you are still on the ground?
Look Knot is great. I interpret it as the paradox of fearing opening one self up to someone else truly seeing you and also fearing it. Like a love knot… but a look knot, and it’s also a clever pun on “look not”.
Enjoyed the others to. Thanks!
